They scrutinized the vast opportunity of technology in easing and enhancing the shipping operation for a smooth flow of logistics. Before the establishment of ODeX, the team started with a software development company-Esfera & Aster (E&A). “Working closely with SCM industry in E&A, we realised the huge opportunity for improvement in the shipping sector. Liji further adds, “If we are looking at moving items from one country to another, it takes 5 to 7 stakeholders involving the port, the custom, the shipping line, the exporters, the importers, the bank, freight forwarders, and custom brokers, among others.
This requires lot of documentation that happens manually. But at ODeX, the process is done electronically, online, connecting all stakeholders on a single platform”.
